What did you think of the pacing? Some parts felt slow, while others were a breeze. It wasn't consistent but it doesn't distract the reader from the overall plot, theme or main characters. Each scene is able to carry through to the next one and this is important for me in any book.
Share a quote from the book. "The silent condemnation of the straight back woman standing at the window only served to intensify the atmosphere." Glover uses many different descriptions like this and it is one the reasons why I liked the book very much.
Share a favorite scene from the book. When Lizzie is fired by Mrs Peabody. Deep down she and the reader knows this is not how it is supposed to be. But loyalty to the one you love outweighs common sense or so it does in this scene and it was powerful.
